Level one of the Estate Manor
Entry
The first "room" inside the house. There is a coat rack, an umbrella basket and a single table in the middle of the room with freshly picked/cut flowers in a vase.
Dining Room
The formal Dining Room features two built-in china cabinets, a traditional twelve light brass chandelier and a huge window with spectacular views. It has convenient access to the butler's pantry and kitchen. The room is large (13x15) and has plenty of space for large dinner parties. The lovely oak hardwood floors add warmth to the room.
Parlor
The Parlor is the main public room of the Manor, and it is beautiful! It is fully furnished in antiques and has the colors of burgundy and natural wood. A grand staircase leads to the second floor.
Game Room
The Game room comes complete with a pool table and a dart board and some video game machines. Otherwise known as a common room, this room provides a space for entertainment.
Meeting Room
Perhaps not what one would expect, but definately posh. The Meeting room has a rather large oval shaped table in the center of it, a wall lined with chalkboards and dry erase boards as well as a map of the city. There however are no windows in this room, despite the fact that there are curtains hanging for decoration purposes only. There is a cabniet in the room that contains bottles of liquor as well as water for meetings.
Study
The study looks like your normal library room, a large desk with a computer on one end near by the door that leads outside towards a narrow pathway, and book cases lined the walls of the room. What one might not be aware of, is that one of the bookcases move, triggered by a switch beneath the desk. It opens up to reveal a door, leading into the Safe Room.
Safe Room
The Safe Room is a space offering multiple levels of security designed to meet anticipated threats as well as to deal with those threats. Security features, including bullet-resistance, sound-proofing and surveillance equipment, are built into the room. Within the room is a table and chair, along with a cabniet that holds non-perishable items such as water and dried foods. There is also a one person prison cell within the room, complete with a bunker bed and a toliet.
There is a charming area of rockwork inside the room here along a far wall, and one intriguing feature is a small red door that is embeded into the rockwork. Where could this possibly lead?
Well, all you have to do is unlock it, open it, and go through - and what a surprise! When you get inside, you find yourself in a wonderful underground grotto, lit from a skylight above that is actually at ground level.
Grotto
The Grotto itself is made up of several rock gardens and pools, and much of it is underground - a labyrinth of carefully constructed caverns, with one path that would lead outside onto the land proper.
Kitchen - Pantry
It is large (15x20) and functional kitchen. It has a large top-of-the-line side-by-side built-in refrigerator with matching hickory cabinetry front, top-of-the-line dishwasher, and a top-of-the-line, built in double convection oven/microwave combination. The cabinets are deeply grained solid hickory and offer an abundance of storage. The stove ventilation system is built into the wall with the motor mounted outside providing a quiet but yet powerful stove vent. The oak floors and solid maple countertops set off the cabinets and add a rich warmth to the all hardwood kitchen. There is a butler's pantry and small bar as well as two large French Door covered pantries adjacent to the kitchen.
Servants Quarters - Bath - Back Hall
Originally this room is where the Reinheart family servants, the butler and his wife would sleep. It's a small bedroom with two twin beds, and a connecting adjacent bathroom inside. The back hall, is hidden from the main part of the house, allowing for the "servants" access upstairs without being seen downstairs except when needed. It connects to the kitchen as well.
Kitchen Garden
Mixed borders filled with perennials, ornamental grasses, bulbs, interesting shrubs and trees curve around a sloping lawn. The plantings have been designed for four-season interest and each border has its own distinct flavour ranging from a woodland section to a Mediterranean planting and a rockery in full sun.Everywhere there are harmonious color combinations which take into consideration each plant's seasonal characteristics. Within the garden is a single statue of a weeping angel. Two benches are angled around the statue for a nice, quiet place to sit and enjoy the garden.
